Where There's Will

Lisa had an unexpected visitor.

CUBBY: I can't throw him out, Miss Morgan.
LISA: Why not?
CUBBY: Because he's my boss' brother.

Her little brother, Will, had arrived.

LISA: Fine. I'll do it.

She walked into her office to find Will sitting behind her desk.

LISA: Well, that didn't take long.
WILL: Good to see you, too, Lisa.
LISA: Did another boarding school throw you out, William?

Calling him "William" always irritated him. But this time, he didn't seem phased.

WILL: I've come to avenge the murder of my father.
LISA: Have you been watching Hamlet again and fantasizing that one day you'll have substance?

Will was constantly looking for a revolution to fight in, and in the past few years Lisa had to clean up more than one of his messes. Their father had washed his hands of him long ago.

WILL: It doesn't upset you that Dad was killed right in this very room?
LISA: He wasn't killed, Will. The stake went in one end and out the other.
WILL: How lovely that you have a sense of humor about our father's demise.
LISA: What makes you think he was murdered?
WILL: I have my reasons.
LISA: Which you're not going to share with me?
WILL: Why should I? You're not going to do anything to help me find the killer.

He stood up and looked at the family photo on the wall. Lisa hadn't gotten around to taking it down yet.

LISA: Does this mean you'll be hanging around?
WILL: Indefinitely.
LISA: Oh goodie. Where are you staying?
WILL: Don't you worry about a thing, sis. I'm a big boy now.

He gave her a peck on the cheek, which she couldn't dodge in time. Still, he smiled.

WILL: I can take care of myself.
